Supporting your Family

We treat each child as the unique individual they are and, by working closely with them and their family, we help them to improve and develop. We do this by offering a programme tailored to the needs of each individual child.

The Two Day Initial Assessment:
Our priority is to listen. We will spend time really getting to know your child through a series of assessments designed to highlight areas that are of concern to your child and your family. These will consist of observation through play and interaction and recognised tests to assess your child's strengths and areas for development.

Based on test results and in depth conversations with you, bibic’s team of therapists will design an individual programme of practical strategies and simple techniques for you and your family to use at home with your child. These may also include strategies that can be of help at school or nursery. We will take into account how much time you have available as a family and will ensure that your programme is matched to your lifestyle. Following the assessment a thorough report is provided.

The two day initial assessment costs £378, this can be paid by cheque, card or in installments.

How do I book?

We will then contact you to make an appointment to speak to a therapist on the telephone, we call this a telephone interview. This will be at a pre-arranged time to suit you and its purpose is to establish your main areas of concern and for us to gain an overview of your child's specific difficulties. It also gives you a chance to ask further questions about any area of our service.

Once you have completed the telephone interview, if you wish to proceed you can speak to our family services coordinator to book your assessment.


Reassessment Days
These are booked four to six months after your initial two days at bibic, your therapist will advise what timescale is appropriate for your child once you have had your initial assessment. They consist of one-to-one support from a bibic therapist over two days who will re-assess your child, monitor their progress with you and develop their programme to address any further challenges and to build on achievements made.

The two day reassessment costs £378.

There are occasions when a one day assessment is appropriate; they cost £189.

bibic therapists are also trained to assess and support specific additional needs like auditory processing and we are able to offer specific individualised assessments and programmes for an additional cost. Please enquire about these if you wish to find out more.
