Naming
and Shaming
The
Anti-social Behaviour Bill allows for children who are given
an Anti-social Behaviour Order (ASBO) to have their details
published in the local media and for leaflets produced by the
local housing authority, police or ASB Officer, to be distributed
through their neighbours doors.
We
are told that some of the children receiving ASBO's are children
with communication and learning difficulties such as ADHD, Tourettes
etc. bibic believes that these children are in danger of being
penalised for their disabilities and that they likely to be
marginilised further by this action.
bibic
has written to the Minister of State responsible for anti-social
behaviour and produced a number of press releases on this subject.
