For Information

bibic is a national charity with more than 37 years experience of working with children, young people and families.  We are available all year.

We are a registered charity (Reg No. 1057635) and receive no state funding.

Our mission is to help children with conditions affecting their social, communication and learning abilities to achieve their potential for a happier and more fulfilled life. bibic works with children and young people who have developmental problems such as Autism, Asperger’s, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delay, Down’s syndrome, Dyslexia, auditory processing disorder, brain injury, and challenging behaviour.

Our team of bibic developmental therapists work with children, young people and their families to assess their areas of difficulties and strengths. A therapy programme is devised, based on the initial assessment, and taught to the whole family to practice at home within their routines.

Regular reassessments then take place and progress is measured and celebrated for as long as the family need us.

Autism, ADHD

bibic is at the forefront of practical family partnerships and through our assessment of your child and the subsequent coaching and mentoring programme we provide for the whole family, we hope to unlock and answer some of your concerns and provide practical solutions for you to regain control.

global development delay

Our bibic developmental therapists work with parents and carers on a one to one basis for two whole days as part of the initial assessment. They forge long relationships with the family helping them to cope with a demanding and stressful lifestyle.

All we ask for is a £50 administration charge initially to set the programme and assessment up for you. Occasionally, families request additional services which we can arrange for you at a small additional charge.

The two day assessments each cost bibic £2,489 but our own fundraising team will secure this on your behalf, sometimes with help from your employer or own community. You simply enjoy the freedom of a no cost support programme and child assessment.

Childs first recognised word is 'bibic'!

6 year old Jake, who suffered foetal alcohol syndrome leaving parts of his brain damaged, has delighted his adoptive parents by recognising and reading his first word.

Jake, who along with his family has been attending the National Assessment Centre for 12 months, recently spotted the bright purple logo and exclaimed 'bibic', much to the surprise of his Dad Steve.

You can read more about Jake's story here.
