bibic developmental therapists are trained in all areas of development and are competent assessors of children with a wide range of difficulties associated with conditions such as : Autistic Spectrum Disorders, ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Cerebral Palsy, Downs syndrome, Global Developmental Delay and behavioural issues.

Linda Cunnington

Linda is often the first person you will speak to when calling bibic. Linda joined bibic in November 2002 as a part time receptionist/administrator (job share). In March 2003 Linda moved into the post of family services project administrator working closely with the Director of Family Services and Family Services Manager along with other members of the administration team.
Linda’s current role is as Family Services Co-ordinator providing administrative support to the Family Services Department including database co-ordination and planning. Prior to working at bibic Linda spent 10 years working for the NSPCC as a Regional Personnel Administrator and holds the CIPD’s Certificate in Personnel Practice.

Lucy joined bibic in June 2008 as an assistant therapist, after completing a BTEC National Diploma in Health and Social Care. In this role Lucy liaised closely with families and conducted individual sessions in the warm water pool, opti-music or sensory room.
Lucy has a keen interest in all aspects of the therapy work especially in child development and has now completed her training as a bibic developmental therapist. She has attended training in Somerset Total Communication level one, PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), Managing Challenging Behaviour and Report Writing.
Lucy has also completed a unit in an NVQ level 2 in Supporting Youth Work and a Level 2 Qualification in Understanding Visual Impairment.

Phoebe Casey is a bibic developmental therapist and Johansen Individualised Auditory Stimulation Provider. Prior to joining bibic in January 2007, Phoebe spent seven years working for a national charity in various settings supporting adults with hearing and visual impairments and a wide range of disabilities and challenging behaviour. She also spent two years working with adults with mental health problems in the community as a floating support worker, promoting independence and life skills.
Phoebe has a level one qualification in British Sign Language, a level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care (Children and young people pathway) and has attended training in PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), Somerset Total Communication level one and Speech and Language development for children with Down syndrome. Phoebe has attended the training course ‘Certificate of Competence in Educational Testing Level A’, a unit of an NVQ level 2 in Supporting Youth Work and a Level 2 Qualification in Understanding Visual Impairment. Phoebe is a key worker for many bibic families and has a special interest in working with children with specific learning difficulties.

Jeanette Saunders is a bibic developmental therapist and Johansen Individualised Auditory Stimulation Provider. She joined bibic in 1989 and is a key worker for many bibic families. She has been a Team Leader for overseas clinics in Poland, Holland, Germany and Malta. She was responsible for the outreach service to families in England, Scotland and Wales during this time.
In the late 1990s, as deputy manager, she was part of the team responsible for both radical changes in the way bibic works and for devising the Developmental Assessment and Profile we use today. As a Family Services Manager she was instrumental in reinstating and leading clinics in Holland and then as Senior therapist leading mobile clinics in Kent.
Jeanette is also an NVQ assessor and trainer and is part of the training team at bibic presenting seminars on nutrition and behaviour. She is trained in PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) has a Level 2 Qualification in Understanding Visual Impairment and has a special interest in sensory processing, nutrition, epilepsy and cerebral palsy.

Michelle Wood is a bibic developmental therapist and Johansen Individualised Auditory Stimulation Provider. Michelle joined bibic in January 2004 after completing a degree in Zoology at Cardiff University. Michelle is a key worker for many bibic families, shares taking the lead therapist role on mobile clinics and is the training coordinator for new bibic developmental therapists.
She has completed her NVQ level 3 in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Support, a unit of an NVQ level 2 in Supporting Youth Work and is PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) and Somerset Total Communication Level 1 trained. Michelle has completed a course in Understanding and Managing Dyslexia, Brain Gym, has attended the training course ‘Certificate in Competence of Educational Testing Level A’ and has a Level 2 Qualification in Understanding Visual Impairment. Michelle has a special interest in working with children with specific learning difficulties.

Graham Valentine is a bibic developmental therapist and Johansen Individualised Auditory Stimulation Provider. Graham worked for 7 years as a stress management consultant within his own practice based in Southampton. He started to work with groups of adults who had a wide range of learning disabilities in 1994.
As a result of his move to Somerset, he worked in a large residential environment for adults with autism. Graham joined bibic in 2001 and continues his specific interest in autistic spectrum disorder and behaviour management; presenting workshops and seminars to parents and professionals nationwide.
Graham has an NVQ level 3 in Promoting Independence, a Level 2 Qualification in Understanding Visual Impairment and is an NVQ assessor. Graham has 4 children and is a parent governor at the local school; he is also a practitioner and teacher of Ki Aikido.
